Lee Zeldin is getting his wish

I have some troubling news — Lee Zeldin is continuing to get his wish as the Trump administration has taken yet another step to dismantle the Affordable Care Act.

This time, they are refusing to make legally mandated payments to insurers who cover patients who have more costly health care needs.

That's right — they're punishing people for being really sick, and I can tell you that Zeldin couldn't be happier. He already voted to take away health care from tens of thousands of people in NY-01, and we know he'll sit silently by as the assault on our health care system continues.

This begs the simple question: what kind of elected official allows their constituents to be systematically hurt?

The answer: Lee Zeldin.

Zeldin fundamentally believes that health care is a privilege and not a right. With November's election, we can send a clear message that the very opposite is true.

Your level of income shouldn't determine your health outcome, and, as the wealthiest country in the world, it is a stain on our society that so many people are uninsured, underinsured, or don't use their insurance because of unaffordable deductibles.

I'm running for Congress to make sure every single person in our district and our country has quality and affordable health care via Medicare For All, and that getting sick doesn't mean the choice between going bankrupt and getting the treatment you need.

Let's do this together. Donate right now and send Lee Zeldin packing this November.
