Beyond the Mueller Report

We need a government that works for us, not against us. Look at what the Trump administration is actually doing despite the “noise” over the Mueller inquiry.

Example #1: A new effort in court to overturn coverage for pre-existing conditions, the Medicaid expansion, drug labeling, and all other provisions of the ACA. The administration policy would leave 20 million Americans uninsured.

Example #2: Three gun violence survivors committed suicide in the last week - two Parkland students and one Sandy Hook parent. Our nation's response to mass shootings remains unacceptable. And despite the House finally passing gun legislation, the Senate and President are not even allowing it to be considered.

As you know, Robert Mueller has concluded his investigation into Donald Trump.

What are the facts? Those are unclear, because we've only seen a short summary of the findings created by a political appointee of Trump himself.

I'm joining a majority of America in demanding to see the full Mueller Report. We must hope and urge AG William Barr to release its full contents right away.

Why is this so critical? Because, despite the right-wing spin in the media, Mueller did not exonerate the President on obstruction charges.

Congress and the public must see the whole report before we draw conclusions. The goal must be to understand the facts and bring the country together, not to further divide us with exaggerated conclusions.

Lee Zeldin could benefit from understanding this. I urge him to stop spreading disinformation – there is no vast conspiracy to take down the President. We only have a desire to learn the facts.

At the same time, we must not let the back and forth on Mueller's investigation hide the real effects of Trump's disastrous presidency.

2020 is our year to defeat Donald Trump. To defeat his enablers like Lee Zeldin. To get our country back on track.

Let's all do our part.
