Our health care is at risk (and what you can do about it)

It's like clockwork: Donald Trump, Lee Zeldin, and the Republicans in Congress have tried repeatedly to take Americans' health care away and go back to the time when big insurance companies called the shots. Lee Zeldin pulled this stunt again just a few weeks ago — voting against legislation in the House to protect Americans with pre-existing conditions.

It's unconscionable and all about money. They maximize insurance industry profits by denying care to the sick and vulnerable and then get big contributions to fuel their campaigns.

The bottom line? This hurts families on Long Island and across America:

As many as 21 million Americans would lose their health insurance coverage, and 133 million Americans with pre-existing conditions would potentially be disqualified from getting insurance at all.

I'm running for Congress and taking on Rep. Lee Zeldin to reverse this disastrous trend, but only a grassroots movement is going to get this done.

Sign the petition: Stop attacking the sick and vulnerable, Trump and Zeldin. Leave the Affordable Care Act in place.
