Women's Equality Day

Today is Women's Equality Day, which commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment, which guaranteed women the right to vote in 1920.

Women have led our nation in living up to our finest ideals and aspirations. But still, for too long, women haven't gotten the recognition and compensation they deserve.

Today, women are paid on average 79 cents for every dollar earned by men. This needs to stop.

The Federal government must pass laws that prohibit discriminatory wage practices based on gender. I will champion equal pay for equal work efforts in congress.

Today, our district is (mis)represented by the anti-women Lee Zeldin, who has repeatedly opposed equal pay laws. I believe in equality and justice. Zeldin doesn't.

I can go on and on. But you get the point: Lee Zeldin has got to go.

For 25 years, I have been a common-sense businessman — not a career politician — so I look at things differently. I know about fixing dysfunction. It starts with hard work, a commitment to results, and perseverance — not scoring cheap political points. We can work together to provide opportunity and create an economy that works for all of us.
