I hold a town hall on coronavirus, the GOP attacks me

In the midst of a pandemic, with over a hundred thousand New Yorkers confirmed with the coronavirus, and our state having just experienced the worst daily death toll yet, the National Republican Congressional Committee has decided that now would be a good time to attack me.

Bad timing.

Earlier this week, I held a virtual town hall with hundreds of Suffolk residents. I invited medical experts and local officials as my guests so that Long Islanders could get real time, factual answers to their questions about their health and safety. What did Lee Zeldin and his political hacks in Washington DC do in response? They attack me with lies.

Will you fight back against these tone deaf attacks? Chip in now.

One thing is clear: Lee Zeldin is so worried about facing me in November that he had to manipulate the facts in a failed effort to distract residents from what real leadership looks like.

If we're going to beat Donald Trump and Lee Zeldin, we have to keep building our grassroots campaign — with new strategies and tactics to meet the coronavirus challenge.

Help us build the grassroots team we need. Donate right now and let's get it done.
