Four days and Rep. Lee Zeldin still hasn't spoken out

Four days and I'm still waiting.

Four days since Sen. Mitch McConnell stupidly said that states hardest hit by the Coronavirus pandemic, including New York, should declare bankruptcy rather than expect the federal government to help out. Even though over four years, New York has sent $116 billion more to the federal coffers than we got back!

Four days and Rep. Lee Zeldin still hasn't spoken out against McConnell's plan.

Four days and Zeldin still hasn't used his self-professed influence with the President and the leadership of his own party, to get McConnell to walk back his irresponsible statement.

I told you that I'm pissed about it—and I still am.

And I know you are too.

Donate now.

I mean, really, Lee Zeldin thinks that the right way to battle this health crisis is to withhold vital protections from our doctors and nurses, lay off fire fighters and police officers, shut down our state hospitals and health clinics? Because that is what will happen if New York is forced to declare bankruptcy.

Well, Zeldin may refuse to demand better from the Republicans—but I won't. We're organizing, we're building, we're getting ready to toss Donald Trump out and send his pal Zeldin with him.

Chip in $15 now. Let's build the grassroots campaign that it's going to take to get the job done.

It starts with hard work, a commitment to results, and perseverance — not scoring cheap political points. We can work together to provide opportunity and create an economy that works for all of us.
