Last night's town hall: recap

Last night, the very first question at our virtual town hall was this: "What is a town hall?" Here was Perry's answer:

"A town hall is an opportunity to engage with your elected representative, ask questions and speak your mind. It is supposed to be a free exchange of ideas. If you elect someone you should be able to speak to them."

That is the whole premise of this campaign. Lee Zeldin hasn't held a real town hall in 35 months. Last night was Perry's 10th town hall in 10 months, since he began in November. We had over 130 people take time from a lovely evening joining in our call to ask questions and listen.

Elected representatives should always be available to their in-district constituents, that is the only way they truly will be held accountable. That's why we need leaders like Perry on Long Island.

Perry gets it. Donate $15 right now to help Perry win!

Thank you to all of you who participated in the town hall last night. You are what makes this campaign so special.

For 25 years, I have been a common-sense businessman — not a career politician — so I look at things differently. I know about fixing dysfunction. It starts with hard work, a commitment to results, and perseverance — not scoring cheap political points. We can work together to provide opportunity and create an economy that works for all of us.
